高約100公尺高的情人塔，是淡水地標之一，但日前發生空中停機關人9小時事件之後，福容大飯店重新檢討應變措施，新北市11月1日檢查並核定恢復營運，福容大飯店情人塔3日上午將開放免費搭乘優惠。

福容大飯店表示，10月15日發生停機關人事件後，飯店就進行全面檢討，除了增加禦寒及行動馬桶外，維修塔內設7層平台加裝緩降機，整體應變流程獲市府肯定後才同意重新營運。

為挽回消費者信心，福容大飯店情人塔3日上午9時至12時，歡迎消費者免費搭乘體驗。而過12時以後到雖然沒有免費，但搭乘情人塔者也可憑票根到飯店內一家餐廳用餐可享9折優惠。
