2013台灣自行車節10日在日月潭水上自行車道登場，共吸引超過1,200名來自世界各地的單車客共襄盛舉，除有日本愛媛組成的訪問團外，更有來自澳洲、加拿大的車友前來，而選手們一致的感想就是「日月潭太美了！」更有許多人表示，每年都想來。

「日月潭Come！Bikeday單車活動」因在世界10大最美的日月潭水上自行車道進行，吸引全球各地好手參加，包括2012環西班牙自行車大賽登山王Simon Clarke、2013臺灣自行車登山王挑戰冠軍王胤之及 2012女子環義自行車大賽單站冠軍Tiffany Cromewll也前來朝聖。

交通部觀光局表示，日月潭的美景及自行車道已成為亞洲各國推動觀光的典範，去年日本愛媛縣參訪團就對活動讚譽有加，今年更二度組團參加30公里的環湖挑戰；觀光局指出，各國好手都對日月潭留下美好回憶，往後會繼續推動觀光景點與自行車文化結合，要讓民眾能邊騎車、邊賞美景。
