原本停放在新竹漁港的兩隻鴛鴦，因東北季風影響，曾一度放氣後收存，經考慮決定，新竹市政府今天決定改停放在麗池，請民眾繼續捧場。

新竹市長許明財表示，鴛鴦於今年雙十國慶前推出，因受東北季風影響，曾一度放氣後收存，經考慮決定改停放在麗池，上午已裝置完成，歡迎民眾前往觀賞，但請注意安全、秩序和交通等問題。

許明財也指出，這些日子以來有許多民眾建議鴛鴦停放地點，包括玻璃工藝博物館旁的麗池公園，或青草湖，市府幾經考慮，認為青草湖的腹地雖廣，也有古奇峰風景區相輝映，但因湖水不穩定，甚至有斷水之虞，因此最終選定麗池。(資料來源：中央社)
